Anyone else heard the car commercial (can't remember who it is) featuring "Buena"?? It's kind of disturbing to hear your favorite songs in commercials but it's cool at the same time.

Sun, November 9, 2003 - 3:00 PMIt's weird. I remember hearing Buena the first time and thinking that it would be all over the place someday. It's just that sort of song.
It was also in Corky Romano, if I am not mistaken.

There was a video for "Thursday" on Beavis and Butthead years ago.
Not Morphine, but on-topic: I remember watching a nissan ad 2 years ago, and hearing a song that i knew, muzakified. It waqs on a lot, and I made my friends watch the ad until somebody pointed out it was "pictures of matchstick men". Once my curiousity was sated, then the disgust settled in. Oh well.

Fri, November 28, 2003 - 10:22 AMIt is a tribute. The music lives on; and I'm sure some of the money goes on to the Mark Sandman music foundation...or whatever it is called. I had read once that the Mark Sandman Memorial Orchestra aided kids that need two string music...or something like that. -

You know, I went to school in Boston in the early 1990s, where everyone knew Morphine, and when I would come back to Cali for breaks, no one would have a clue who I was talking about.

Tue, December 16, 2003 - 10:16 AMNo one I know listens to them.. it's a shame as far as I am concerned.. I picked up my first Morphine when I was about 16 or so, back in 94ish.. I was hooked..
I had built up a nice little collection of morphine albums, than my car got stolen and I lost ALL my music. But the other day I found a greatest hits album.. but it’s just not the same.

Wed, December 17, 2003 - 11:13 AMYes,(waitaminute, that's an album) I was posessed by a devil named buena buena, and collected almost all of thier stuff at the time I was trying to figure out how to play it. I sold it all when I moved to Denmark (for the money, honeywhite) I moved back here with as much as I left with. My best find has been a Morphine baseball cap from the Salvation Army on Geary. I wore it to a softball game and they thought I was a doper. -

'94....i believe it was in a Levi's tv ad...i'm ashamed to say that is when Morphine hooked me...i had to find out what that song was, and a think after seeing the ad a few times i finally saw the video late at night on MTV...thank god, cuz they helped me out of some tough times back then, collected all of their albums...I will love them forever :)

Sat, October 16, 2004 - 10:05 PMI always seem to catch bits of Morphine on the little musical excerpts between pieces on NPR. I swear I hear Morphine there at least once every 3-4 months.
I give full props to the them for using the rich sounds of Morphine. Besides, they were the ones that dropped me the 411 on Orchestra Morphine with a nice story, back in the day.
