I was unusually attracted to the sound of the band, especially the low guitar that Mark Sandman made and shared with the world. I saw them play on one of the first Conan O'Brian shows and bought the album. The point of this posting is, I kind of figured out how to play the low guitar but am searching for others that might know something about the tuning and the tritar he also played. I was at a performance and looked closely at the box he was stepping on, an "electro harmonix memory man". I tuned a bass with two E strings and slid along for several months until I figured it was only 8 notes played in 3 octaves with various slides. I learned the buena.
